This book shows how the patterns of our everyday life have changed over the past six centuries, by pairing paintings from the 15th century to the 19th against amateur photographs from the 21st.
In this project, I made one e-book and one printed book in addition to an Instagram account for the book. The image pairs are chosen by scrolling (for ages!) for painting at online archives, for so to do a Google Image search of the title of the painting. From there I was looking for amateur images that had the same object, shape or color, preferably also humorous. Everything else in this book was generated by various online tools relying on computer intelligence. Tools such as a hashtag generator called Photerloo, Githubs' average pixel color measurer, and filters and tags in online archives were used.
